KIOXIA Releases 2 TB MicroSDXC Card
KIOXIA has announced the launch of the Exceria Plus G2 microSDXC 2 TB model, which offers the maximum storage capacity for the microSDXC standard. This card sets a new record for data storage density in terms of physical volume.
To achieve this milestone, KIOXIA developed a NAND flash device that stacks sixteen 1 terabit (128 GB) layers, resulting in a package with a Z-height of only 0.8 mm.
The Exceria Plus G2 microSDXC 2 TB card meets UHS Class 3, application class A1, and video class V30 standards. This ensures a minimum write speed of 30 MB/s. Additionally, the card boasts maximum sequential read speeds of 100 MB/s and maximum write speeds of 90 MB/s.
Initially, KIOXIA has released the card in Japan, with plans to expand its availability to other markets in the near future.
