AMD has officially announced that FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) will be released on September 29. The first games to support this technology will be Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum. Frank Azor shared this news on Twitter and mentioned that more titles will be added soon. FSR 3 Fluid Motion is AMD's response to NVIDIA's DLSS 3 Frame Generation and will be compatible with the latest AMD Radeon RX 7000 series, previous-generation Radeon RX 6000 series, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-, RTX 30-, and RTX 20-series graphics cards. FSR 3 Fluid Motion is a frame-rate doubling technology that generates intermediate frames between two rendered frames. While specific game titles were not mentioned by Frank, AMD previously confirmed that Forsaken and Immortals of Aveum will be the first games to support FSR 3 Fluid Motion. AMD is also collaborating with game developers to bring FSR 3 support to popular titles such as "Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora," "Cyberpunk 2077," "Warhammer II: Space Marine," "Frostpunk 2," "Alters," "Squad," "Starship Troopers: Extermination," "Black Myth: Wukong," "Crimson Desert," and "Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth." Notable game publishers and developers, including Ascendant, Square Enix, Ubisoft, CD Projekt Red, Saber Interactive, Focus Entertainment, 11-bit Studios, Unreal Engine, Sega, and Bandai Namco Reflector, are also involved. FSR 3 Fluid Motion is part of AMD's HYPR-RX and will be included in the upcoming September drivers update.
