Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is set to release on December 7 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The latest trailer for the game provides more insight into the protagonist's journey and the clans they will encounter as they explore the Western Frontier of Pandora in search of their lost heritage.
In the game, players will assume the role of a Na'vi who was taken as a baby by the RDA and trained in The Ambassador Program (TAP) to serve human interests on Pandora. After the RDA's departure from Pandora during the Battle of the Hallelujah Mountains, the player's character enters emergency cryosleep. They awaken 15 years later, free from the RDA but disoriented and unfamiliar with their home world.
The player embarks on a quest to uncover the world that was hidden from them, encountering various Na'vi clans and learning about Na'vi culture along the way. They discover that they belong to the esteemed Sarentu clan, which was thought to have vanished years ago. Throughout their journey across the Western Frontier, they will meet the Aranahe, a clan known for their weaving skills; the Zeswa, a nomadic clan that coexists with Zakru, enormous creatures; and the Kame'tire, a secretive clan skilled in healing and potion-making.
As part of their rite of passage, the player will form a bond with their own banshee, or ikran, allowing them to explore Pandora from a new perspective - the skies. They can engage in activities such as fishing, perform aerial acrobatics, and join forces to combat the RDA. Additionally, they can expand their exploration on the ground by learning to ride a direhorse.
Once again, the RDA poses a threat to Pandora's ecosystems. With their knowledge of human technology and weapons, combined with their Na'vi background and skills, the player is uniquely equipped to resist the RDA's advances. It is their responsibility to earn the trust of other Na'vi clans and unite them in the defense of Pandora, as the Na'vi are stronger when they work together.
Pre-orders for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are available on the Ubisoft Store, offering multiple editions. The Gold Edition includes the game and Season Pass, which features two DLCs, an additional quest, a unique banshee, and more. The Ultimate Edition includes the game, Season Pass, Ultimate Pack, and a digital art book. The Collector's Edition, exclusively available at select retailers, includes the Ultimate Edition of the game and physical items such as a 35 cm-tall statue, an artbook, a premium SteelBook, a field notebook, a set of three lithographs, and an AMP suit blueprint. Pre-ordering also grants players the "Child of Two Worlds" bonus, which includes a character cosmetic set and a weapon skin. Subscribers to Ubisoft+ on PC and Xbox via Ubisoft Connect can play the Ultimate Edition on day one.
