ASRock Expands AM5 Lineup with B850M Challenger WiFi
Among the highlights is the ASRock B850M Challenger WiFi, a microATX variant of the existing B850 Challenger WiFi ATX motherboard. For users seeking premium features, ASRock revealed the AMD X870 Challenger WiFi motherboard. This model stands out with a significantly larger VRM and enhanced cooling solution, as well as an increased number of USB and fan headers. The X870 Challenger offers four DDR5 RAM slots and is equipped with dual 8-pin CPU power connectors to ensure stable power delivery for high-performance builds. ASRock will also offer an EATX version, the X870E Challenger WiFi, for those requiring additional expansion and connectivity. While pricing and release dates have not been announced, the X870 series is positioned as a high-end, if not flagship, offering in ASRock’s lineup.
Rock WiFi and Rock WiFi 7: Affordable Options for AMD and Intel
ASRock is also catering to budget-conscious builders with the new Rock WiFi and Rock WiFi 7 motherboards, available for both Intel B860 and AMD B850 chipsets. Despite their entry-level positioning, these boards support Wi-Fi 7 and provide essential features for reliable everyday computing. Both ATX and microATX versions include three M.2 slots (one pre-equipped with a Wi-Fi card), two full-size PCIe x16 slots, and two PCIe x4 slots, making them versatile choices for mainstream PC builds.
