Intel has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with leading Chinese display manufacturer BOE to introduce laptop screens capable of operating at an ultra-low 1 Hz refresh rate. This innovative technology is designed to dramatically reduce power consumption, potentially extending laptop battery life by up to 65% compared to current models.

Traditional laptop displays with variable refresh rates typically operate within a range of 48 Hz and above, adjusting only slightly to match on-screen activity.
