FSP Introduces Cannon Pro 2500 W PSU for Enthusiast Desktops
FSP, the channel brand of Fortron, a major power supply OEM, has unveiled its flagship PSU designed for enthusiast-segment desktops and workstations - the Cannon Pro 2500 W. This powerful PSU was showcased at the 2025 Computex event in May and will be available in retail stores later this month. The PSU comes with full modular cabling and measures 20 cm in length. It complies with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 CEM specifications. According to its distribution table, the PSU boasts a single 208 A +12 V rail and utilizes DC to DC switching for 25 A +3.3 V and +5 V rails.
The Cannon Pro 2500 W offers 80 Plus Platinum switching efficiency when used with a 230 V AC input. It includes various protection features such as over/under voltage, overcurrent, overload, overheat, short-circuit, surge and inrush, and no-load operation protection. Connectors on the PSU consist of one 24-pin ATX, three 4+4 pin EPS, four 12V-2x6 each capable of 600 W, eleven 6+2 pin PCIe power, ten SATA power, and six Molex. Cooling is provided by a 135 mm fluid dynamic bearing fan. While pricing has not been confirmed by the company, the PSU is backed by a 3-year warranty.
