The latest images of Logitech's upcoming MX Master 4 mouse have been leaked, thanks to the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). This is somewhat ironic considering the EUIPO's role in protecting intellectual property. The new design of the mouse shows some significant updates while still maintaining similarities to its predecessor. Notably, the mouse now features two buttons that cover the entire front, giving it a cleaner look compared to the MX Master 3 which had some plastic on the right side of the right button. The buttons also appear to be almost translucent, although this could be due to the renders.
The ridges on the thumb rest and rear of the mouse have been removed, with the thumb rest button now covering the entire side surface rather than just the bottom of the thumb rest. The purpose of the circle made up of dots is unclear, but it seems that Logitech has introduced new functionality for the thumb rest button. Additionally, a third thumb button has been added in front of the previous two, and the thumb scroll-wheel now protrudes rather than being slightly recessed like on the MX Master 3. An LED behind the scroll-wheel lock button is likely a battery/charge indicator. The launch of the MX Master 4 is expected soon, as the initial leak occurred a couple of weeks ago.
