Shortly after releasing the "standard" Astral GeForce RTX 5090 flagship card, ASUS ROG has introduced a luxurious golden alternative. A recent report from VideoCardz revealed that the brand's exclusive "Astral RTX 5090 Dhahab OC Edition" is now available in retail stores in the Middle East. Pricing details were not disclosed during preview events, but industry experts speculated that it would exceed the $3000+ price tag of the regular "OC" version. A Jensen Huang-signed model was auctioned off for charity at NVIDIA's GTC 2025 conference.

Recent investigations have uncovered a range of prices for the special edition card in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions. The lowest price found was $6700, while a particularly high-priced listing was discovered at around $10,600. The varying costs were attributed to different market conditions in each country. The card comes with an ASUS-issued "Certificate of Authenticity" confirming the use of 6.5 grams of "999 Gold Fineness," indicating the highest purity of gold, which is highly valued in Middle Eastern markets.

ASUS is said to be developing a potentially more affordable GeForce RTX 5080 variant by using lower-grade silicon rather than reducing the level of decoration. Enthusiasts of the special edition ASUS ROG Astral card outside of MENA may have their eyes on a DOOM prequel-themed option in the future.
