Chinese GPU Maker Moore Threads Introduces Professional Graphics Card MTT X300
Moore Threads, a Chinese GPU manufacturer, has unveiled a new professional graphics card known as the MTT X300. This graphics card is designed for professional visualization tasks such as CAD, BIM, GIS, and video editing. The X300 GPU from Moore Threads is built on the second-generation MUSA architecture and boasts 4096 MUSA cores, providing a computing power of 14.4 TFLOPS for FP32 operations. It is equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus, delivering a memory bandwidth of 448 GB/s. The X300 supports PCIe Gen 5 x16 connectivity and offers multiple display options with three DisplayPort 1.4a ports and one HDMI 2.1 port, supporting resolutions up to 7680 x 4320. The total power consumption of the X300 is 255 W.
Although the X300 GPU is a new product, it shares similarities with Moore Threads' MTT S80 gaming GPU, featuring different firmware and drivers. The X300 comes with hardware acceleration for decoding various formats such as AV1, H.264, H.265, VP8, VP9, AVS, AVS2, MPEG4, and MPEG2, as well as hardware encoding capabilities for AV1, H.264, and H.265. With its professional applications, the X300 can handle up to 36 channels of 1080p@30 FPS video for both encoding and decoding tasks simultaneously, while supporting 4-way display output at resolutions up to 8K. Moore Threads has developed drivers for the X300 that are compatible with mainstream CPU architectures including x86, Arm, and LoongArch.
