Moore's Law is Dead Reveals Expectations for RTX 50-series Laptop GPUs

Moore's Law is Dead, a well-known YouTube channel that focuses on computer hardware leaks, has shared its predictions for the RTX 50-series Laptop GPUs. Previously, we reported on a significant leak of product listings that provided details on nearly every "Blackwell" laptop GPU. However, more information is always appreciated. According to Moore's Law is Dead, the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, which was hinted at in the previous leak, will feature 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, the same as the RTX 5080 Laptop.

Additionally, sources suggest that the RTX 5080 will have a 175-watt TGP and 7,680 CUDA cores, only slightly more than the 7,424 cores in its predecessor. However, the same source claims that the RTX 5080 will be 40 to 60% faster than the RTX 4080, representing a significant performance improvement. While the exact basis for this claim is unclear, it appears to be quite optimistic. Another source has mentioned the possibility of an RTX 5090 Laptop card with 24 GB of VRAM in development, although details are scarce at this time.

Moore's Law is Dead notes that NVIDIA currently faces little to no competition in the high-end laptop market, which may not be advantageous for consumers.
