Lexar Introduces ARES DDR5-6000 CL26 Memory Kit

Last week, Lexar unveiled the ARES DDR5-6000 CL26 memory kit, designed specifically for AMD Ryzen platforms, such as the newly released Ryzen 7 9800X3D. This kit includes an AMD EXPO profile for DDR5-6000 with tight timings, including a CAS latency of 26 (or 55 ns). Additionally, it features an Intel XMP 3.0 profile that allows for the same timings. Most DDR5-6000 kits typically come with a CL of 30.

Internally, the kit utilizes SK Hynix A-die DRAM chips and a 10-layer PCB. It also includes thermal pads for both the DRAM chips and the PMIC, which transfer heat to a 1.8 mm-thick aluminum heatspreader. This heatspreader is topped with a silicone diffuser for the module's lighting system, which consists of eight ARGB LEDs with 13 lighting presets. The module is available in two color options: silver and black.
