Lenovo is expected to unveil its new Legion Go S gaming handheld at CES 2025, according to a recent leak from Evan Blass via The Verge. In addition to the Go S, another Legion Go handheld is rumored to be launched as a direct replacement for the current-generation Go. The Go S is said to be powered by the AMD Ryzen Z2G and Radeon 680M iGPU, while the Legion Go 2 is expected to feature a more powerful processor and iGPU, possibly a Ryzen Z2 Extreme SoC.
One of the most exciting features of the new Legion Go handheld is its OLED display. Despite the new display technology, the Legion Go 2 is expected to maintain the same display size, detachable controllers, and FPS mode. Images shared by Blass show that the controller edges are rounder, making the handheld easier to hold. The leaks do not mention SteamOS or a Steam button for the Legion Go 2, indicating that it will continue to prioritize Windows as its primary gaming platform. The Legion Space button remains present on the face of the Legion Go 2 as shown in the leaks.
