MSI is thrilled to reveal the upcoming launch of the AMD AGESA BIOS PI 1.2.0.1 update, aimed at improving power delivery performance for the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X and Ryzen 7 9700X processors on our 600 Series motherboards. This latest BIOS version will feature a setting that enables users to raise the original CPU TDP to 105 W on these specific Ryzen processors, offering a performance boost.
With this new capability to increase the TDP of the Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X processors to 105 W, performance can actually see an increase of around 13% compared to the original 65 W TDP, as shown in the image below.
