AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D Price Drop

Prices of AMD's current generation flagship desktop processor, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, decreased earlier this week to a new low of $464.99 on Amazon and Newegg. This 16-core/32-thread Socket AM5 processor comes with 3D V-cache technology and offers gaming performance comparable to the Intel Core i9-14900K in our tests. Additionally, it delivers superior productivity and content creation performance compared to the Ryzen 7 7800X3D due to its 16-core compute power. The new price of $465 is now two-thirds of the processor's original launch price of $700. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D was designed to compete with the Core i9-13900K "Raptor Lake." These price reductions are a result of the upcoming launch of the Ryzen 9000 "Granite Ridge" processors, which are based on the newer "Zen 5" microarchitecture.
